Well, my first gallery show went well. Loads of people came. Way more than I expected. We drank tea and ate the greatest vegan chocolate biscuits ever baked. After that I drank beer and rubbed up against a whole pack of sweaty vegan men in the mosh at a Popagandhi show. It was quite a vegan day really, until about 2 am when I ate a kebab that tasted like it had crawled out of the gutter before being and trod on. Rest assured dear friends, that kebab was not vegan. Not one bit.

Those who couldn’t come can buy zines and prints at my new internet shopfront. Go on. You know you want a delicious kebab-stained comic book.

Or how about you check out a review of the show on the blog of excellent Melbournian comic artist Bobby N.

I’ve been pretty lazy posting to this News section haven’t I? Well here’s some news… I’ve got a solo gallery show coming up at the fantastic Brunswick Bound gallery in Brunswick … Wow! … It’s so, like, ‘Melbourne’ to have a gallery show… It’s really true… I’d never have a gallery show in N.S.W… I’d feel like a wanker. In Melbourne everyone is a wanker so… you know… “when in Rome”.

The show is in February. Watch this space. Yeah!

If you haven’t yet seen it you should check out my new webcomic, Special Friend Brings Exciting. I’ve been making it for the past couple of Weeks with Aden, Darryn and Cranky. It’s puerile. It’s fun. You should go there… I should warn you though, you won’t like it if you’re one of those grown up people. You’ll know if your one of them. You’ll be one of the sort who like “literature” and “the news” and your so-called “hygiene”.

Scumbags, Scoundrels and Strumpets. Ahoy!

I’ve finally made myself a proper website. Now that I’m about half way through I have some excellent advice to dispense for anyone who cares to read. It will do well for you all to hold on to this one: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON’T BOTHER MAKING YOUR OWN WEBSITE!. It’s a pain in the arse. Instead get someone like Patty Armstrong (the OTHER Pat) to do it for you. And pay the bastard well for it. Pat has been my benevolent mentor with this one. One day he’ll have a font related tattoo.

Thanks Pat!
